W10 Pen and Microphone Poster

I like this design because it has an interesting use of negative space and the gestalt principle figure ground. I believe the target audience of this image to be men and women ages 20-30 in possibly the middle to upper class who have an interest in writing or being creative. The concept of this design is there is a pen and inside the negative space of the pen there is a microphone. This represents how writing, or using the pen, can be like using your voice, or the microphone. Also it represents how through writing you can spread your ideas through the pen just as you could using your voice. I can hypothesize that this poster could be found hanging in schools to represent the importance of writing, or possibly in poetry events to promote their poetry nights.
