I like this design because of its simplicity and sleek look along with its ability to achieve a fast and modern sensation as well as its use of recognizable arrows from the logo that spells out Subway. I believe the target audience is middle-class men and women ages 20-35 who want to receive food quickly because they're possibly usually busy, but they don't mind spending a little extra money to make the fast food a little extra healthier. The concept of the design is simple. it is two arrows that go in opposite directions which makes the letter S for Subway. These arrows also signify the actual subway of a city like New York, where the train is fast and the subway system goes in all different directions. Also, the two arrows also create an S for Subway in the negative space in the middle of their first S created. This design could be found on social media throughout the internet as the Subway company's profile logo when a small compact logo is needed. It also can be found in Subway stores as a big sign to add to the feeling and appearance of the restaurant.
