I like this design because it is simple, it uses fairly food typography with a nice san serif typeface, it uses gestalt with its figure ground aspects, and it incorporates many principles of design such as alignment and proximity. I believe the target audience for this poster to be wealthier adults ages 35-55. This is because the poster has a more sophisticated feel to it with its simple black and white design along with It being a food wine festival because wine can be fairly luxurious. This concept 5 rows of simple type advertising a food and wine festival. The design uses a big white fork to illustrate the food part and the empty space due to the prongs of a fork is in the shape of 3 wine bottles giving off a figure ground aspect. I would hypothesize that this image would be found on local Facebook or instagram pages to advertise the festival and at local locations like poles or on the sides of buildings to bring in local people to the festival.
